Rovereto
- Mart |
|
|
The founding of
Rovereto goes back to
the 18th century. The centre of the town bears very characteristic
signs and the close area is rich in green hills and wide spread
vines.
The old town is characterised by narrow lanes and small Piazzas that
confer the town a "Venetian" look. The mixture of the city wall's
medieval austerity and the sober beauty of the 8th century Palazzi
built by silk traders ravish Rovereto's visitors with many events in
history, art (Mart), music, culture and nature. Visit and enjoy this ever
since crossing point of different cultures that is pleased to
welcome new guests.

Laghi
del Trentino |

The lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo, the
warmest lakes of South-Europe, are perfect for swimming and aquatic
sports. These splendid expanses of water are
surrounded by unique mountains with their natural parks, plateau's
and the typical malga's for mountain pasture. The lake of Caldonazzo
stands out for its sports activities (swimming, windsurfing, sailing,
canoeing, waterskiing and many more) and its numerous beaches,
pleasant villages, typical restaurants, pubs and other places.
The lake of Levico is a more natural
lake with its limpid water and safe beaches.

Trento |

Trento
is a city of art, of history and represents a crossroads for the contrasting
cultures of Italy and northern Europe. Originally a Roman city, Trento became
famous for the Council (1545 -1563). Places to visit include the Castello del
Buonconsiglio (the castle which was home to the prince bishops of Trento for
many centuries), the Duomo (cathedral) and its splendid square, the houses
decorated with frescoes, the churches of the Council, the
museums and
exhibitions which today make Trento a city of art, culture and traditions
beyond those of the Alps. And on nearby Monte Bondone you can comune with nature
against the panorama of the Dolomites, all of which make Trento, chief town of
the Trentino region, a symbol of international alpine culture. |

Pista ciclabile Valle dell'Adige |
|
|
It is
certainly the most important of all the
cycle paths already built or projected in Trentino. It links,
from north to south, the provinces of Bolzano, Trentino and Verona:
the heart of the Alps to the Po Valley. Like it has been for
thousands of years, the Valle dell'Adige is a transit route to Italy
and remains the preferred route to southern European destinations,
even for those who travel by bike. It is 90 kilometres long and it
runs almost completely along the river Adige, alternating between
its right and left banks, using the old riverside roads which cross
fields and orchards, skirting past hamlets, villages and the cities
of Trento and Rovereto. |
